October 1st 2009 - Wow! Where did September go???? Our fall weather has arrived. 50's at night and 90's in the daytime. Wonderful climate. I love it. Our "snowbirds" are coming back and there will finally be traffic on our streets again. I'm looking forward to seeing friends coming back. We have really missed the Christian friends. Our church has been fairly active through the summer and that's been great. Small congregation but enjoyable. We will go from around 25 people in the congregation to around 200 or more. I love it.
Will plan a couple of trips for later. Probably Thanksgiving and Christmas. Next summer, may try a trip to eastern U.S. and Canada. Depends on finances and God's plans for us.

I know...I think I missed summer this year, with my Dad and Mom staying here. Dad was so sick, and needed round the clock help--Mom could not do it by herself, that is for sure.
ReplyDeleteThe day Dad and Mom Moved, was the same day our three kids moved. They are now in an apartment in Salem--and Alan and I are rummaging around this big old house all by ourselves.
So far, though--I have not had any signs of that empty nest thing they talk about!
I LOVE being here with just Alan. Though we may rent a room out for a little extra income.
We shall see.

I also am enjoying just doing stuff with Mike. We tend to take long drives and just enjoy Arizona landscape. I don't even mind being in the motorhome either. We tend to be in a small space but it works for us. We do have the cat but she's not a big cat, fortunately. She's 13 pounds.
