It's summer in Quartzsite
Time sure flies. It's now April 27th, 2011. Don't know where the time went. It's on its way to 92 degrees and it's breeze in "downtown" Quartzsite, Arizona. I love it.
Had a great Resurrection Day this past Sunday. Sure was late in the month. Loving our church family here and in Oregon. Both churches pray for us faithfully. The Lord has blessed us in many ways this year. We will be spending the summer here, and will probably go into California for a while later. We may take mini-vacations this summer, but close by. The airconditioning went out in the truck, so that needs to be fixed first.
Not sure if any family will visit this summer. We've seen Al & Sheryl, and John & Revena, & Jeff & family in the last year and that was great.

New Year!!!!
It's already January 15th, 2011. We have just finished a retreat at church, and had great evenings. The last one was on forgiveness and was very to the point. The speaker used "The Lord's Prayer" as part of it. It leaves no room for unforgiveness for sure. I did a study in the bible on the times that forgive, forgiveness, unforgiveness, etc. are mentioned. There are a lot of references. Forgiveness leads to peace. Unforgiveness leads to bitterness, anger, emotional problems and physical problems. Life's too short for that type of stress.
The speaker forgave the man who killed his daughter. He has the most gentle spirit. The book he wrote is called "The Testimony of Forgiveness" and his name is Richard LaFever. When we don't use the bible as a guideline for forgiveness, we tend to run to anyone who agrees that we've been wronged and that we have every right to not forgive. Sure isn't scriptural. Learned a lot.
Anyway, seemed like a good way to start a new year. I'm encouraged, and feel like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders. God forgives as we forgive. That's a pretty good yardstick.

Time sure goes by fast. Didn't realize so much time had gone by since I last blogged. So many things have happened. Mike was diagnosed with thyroid gland cancer and had to have the thyroid removed. He's now on meds and will have a radioactive iodine pill to kill any remaining thyroid cells on the 29th (Jeff's Birthday). Then he'll be on thyroid replacement meds for the rest of his life.
We will be going to visit with my sister in San Bernardino this week and we are really looking forward to seeing her and my nephew, Paul. We'll make the trip in the motorhome.
I'm enjoying keeping up with kids and grandkids via blogs and Facebook. Can't believe Kris' Nick will be 19 tomorrow. Wow!!!!

July 28th, 2010
It's around 11 p.m. I'm tired, but not sleepy. I posted a picture of the Quilting/Computer Studio and also one of a sunset. I love the sunsets here.
Mike has another VA appointment next Thursday. It's later in the morning this time so we won't have to get up at 4 a.m.
I'm finding a lot of cousins and friends on Facebook. This has been a great way to get in touch with people. We are hoping to see some of them in 2011. We'll see how it goes. We sort of just take it day-by-day at this point. God knows what we need, even if we don't.

God is blessing
It's been a while since my last blog entry. We are still in Quartzsite, Arizona and love it here. We are blessed with Christian friends and a great church family. We keep praying for all of our children and grandchildren daily, in hopes that God is blessing them also. Found over 100 verses now on forgiveness and I'm blown away by what God has done to forgive us. One verse seemed to rely on our being sorry for our sins, but then again, God judges the heart and I'm not going to judge others anymore. That has been the hardest thing for me. God seems to have taken away the anger and bitterness from my heart and has replaced it with His love and His plan for my life. It's awesome! I do think we failed as parents to teach love and forgiveness, but God will teach them much better than we ever could have. If we all had perfect lives, we wouldn't learn any of these lessons anyway.

Hi everyone! Well, it's been a long time since I blogged. Have been mainly on Facebook. That keeps me really, really busy. It's nice to see that there are still some people that blog out there.
We are still in Quartzsite, Arizona and will be for the next year at least. We love the climate still. I love the heat. It was at least 110 degrees today. The little laundry room at the RV park will definitely be hot when I go to dry clothes. I have a combo washer/dryer in the rig, but the dryer part quit.
The next few weeks will be appointments with the VA in Phoenix, trips to Yuma for medical records. My next appointment in Lake Havasu is in 3 months. That will help take the pressure off.
Anyway, not much new with us. We try to keep up with kids and grandkids as possible. I miss all of them at this point. We do hear from some of them at least.
The only thing I miss about Oregon seems to be the Oregon Coast. Jeff, Tawny & kids will be there this summer off and on I'm sure. I think they still own the 4-wheelers.
Hope to hear from friends and family off and on during the summer. RV Grandma Angie
