Second day on "virtual med". Doing OK. Will be playing piano for both Sunday services. Practice, practice, practice!!!! Hope the Lord sends someone soon that can play like Sharon does. She's amazing. I can't do the transposing that needs to be done sometimes.
Lap Quilt now has all three sections pinned together. My friend, Alice, will probably quilt it for me. Then we will move on to another project. It's so exciting.
Every day still over 100 degrees, but sometimes cooling to 70's at night. That's a plus. I love Quartzsite.

Saturday, September 12, 2009
It's Saturday morning around 10:15 a.m. All the Quartzsite streets have been re-opened, but still need some work. We went to Yuma and Los Algodones, Mexico yesterday. There was road work going on for Hwy 95. The water had eroded the sides in some of the dips. Didn't take long to get through in Mexico. Picked up meds and there was no line at this time of the year. However, the medication I usually get is no longer available. Had to substitute and have taken this medication before - not as effective. I think the first med was bought by a big pharmaceutical firm and then taken off the market so they could sell more of their stuff. Not a great thing. The med I got yesterday certainly was a lot cheaper. Hopefully, in combination with Zip Fizz, it will keep the blood pressure down. We'll see. I'll use the extra money for quilting supplies.

monsoon rains - Sept 7th, 2009
Amazing to watch the "washes" of the desert fill up and wash across roads. A few will need repair before they can be opened again. I have never seen anything like it. This was amazing.
I'll post pictures.
