Well, it's off to Phoenix for an eye appointment and to see our friends, the Browns, in Mesa.

Lazy day today

It's on its way to 115 degrees. Good day to kick back and watch movies. Bible Study later today and then Water Aerobics. Have lost 7 pounds. Feels great.

Quiet Monday

Laundry day and catching up on Facebook. Not much going on today.

Sunday morning

Already 100 degrees +, and heading for 116 degrees. Love it!!! Fourth part of canopy started yesterday. Both bedroom windows now have desert screen off. Feels much brighter inside motorhome.

Had to go to Yuma again for parts. Nice "road trip" though. We could see where the washes had gone across the road in certain places after the heavy rain to the East of us. All the water seems to flow towards the Colorado River. Nice easy Saturday.

Friday, July 24th

Went to Lake Havasu City today to pick up Minette's food. It was cloudy with some clear skies here and there. It did rain on us a couple of times. The washes didn't have any water in them though. The warnings were for La Paz Valley South. The cloud formations are always beautiful in the desert.

Enjoying review of I Corinthians. Love the way Paul puts things in perspective.

Thursday, July 23rd

Enjoyed another quilting lesson from my friend, Alice, today. Managed to finish some 9-block squares and will enjoy finishing this project of a lap quilt. It's actually 40 x 48. Enjoyed water aerobics at my friend's house (Sharon), and the exercises are relaxing and very beneficial. I love it.

Wednesday, July 22

We had a great lightning storm in our area for about an hour in early morning. No rain though. Then later, there were a few drops, but everything is pretty much dry already and it's MUGGY. Very unusual for our part of Arizona. Our canopy stayed up through the gusty winds a couple of days ago too. Praise the Lord for that.

Monday July 20th, 2009

Went to Yuma this morning to get more supplies for the canopy. It was definitely hot down there, around 110 degrees. We got home to 112 degrees. We have what looks like huge thunder clouds. We may get a light show later.

I absolutely love Sundays. It's my favorite day. We love our church family.
It's a tad hot again, but "hey", this is where we are supposed to be, so we are comfortable with the heat. I'm hoping for a warm winter already.

It's going to be HOT today and it makes for a lazy day of staying at home in the airconditioning and reading. Love it.

Not one of the largest, but nice. It's 110 degrees, heading for 117 degrees today. Love it. Library next.

When we were having a picnic in the desert, we saw a cloud that reminded me of the "Q" on "Q" mountain near Quartzsite. Hope I can attach a picture to the site.

It's around 95 degrees and heading for 116 degrees. The new Super Wal-Mart is opening up its doors today in Parker, Arizona.

Had great time over potluck and singing tonight in the home where we meet for bible study.

I am amazed at how many people I know do Facebook. It's a great way to keep in touch. I'm still fairly new at it, but I'm learning.

Had great time at church today. Good sermon. The brunch was delicious. Good fellowship.

First two sections of the canopy now up. A couple more to go. I really like the green canopy. The other was an orangish color and I'm not sure I would have wanted that much of that color.

It's 100 degrees at 10:20 a.m. On to 113 degrees. I love it.
